Leadership has been the foundation of my journey both on and off the sports
field.

Dr. Katlin Conroy

As a lifelong athlete, I learned early that success is about far more than talent. I was a varsity athlete and team captain in high school. I continued my athletic career at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the Rider University Field Hockey team. During my four-year collegiate career at Rider University, I had the privilege of serving as a team captain, winning the 2021 Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship, and competing in the 2021 NCAA Division I National Field Hockey Tournament. Those experiences taught me the value of resilience, teamwork, communication, accountability, and leading with purpose—lessons that continue to shape my life today.

My passion for leadership extended beyond athletics and into the classroom.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Rider University in Health Sciences. I then attended Shippensburg University, where I earned a master’s degree in Applied Psychology. My education culminated with a Ph.D. from Liberty University in Organization & Management, with a specialization in Leadership. My doctoral research focused on how leadership influences individual, team, and organizational performance. It is my belief that great leaders are developed through intentional learning, meaningful experiences, mentoring, and a commitment to continuous growth.

I founded The Leadership Collective to help athletes, coaches, teams, and organizations intentionally develop the leadership qualities that create lasting success. While athletic ability may win games, leadership builds culture, strengthens relationships, and prepares people to thrive long after the final whistle of their athletic experiences.

My approach combines evidence-based leadership principles with real-world athletic experience to create engaging, practical learning experiences. Whether I’m facilitating workshops, coaching teams, mentoring student-athletes, or speaking to organizations, my goal is to help individuals build confidence, communicate effectively, overcome challenges, lead with integrity, and enjoy their lives.
